William G. Tourville

WEST SPRINGFIELD – William G. Tourville, 73, of Ames Avenue died Friday at home surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born in West Springfield and has lived here all his life. He was a retired machinist working for Hamilton Standard and National Aerospace. Most recently he was the supervisor of Housekeeping at St. Luke's Home in Springfield. Bill served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a longtime youth Hockey Coach in West Springfield and loved the Boston Bruins and Red Sox. He leaves his wife Betty G. (Button) Tourville; two sons Michael of Agawam, David of West Springfield; a daughter Kathleen Scott of South Hadley; a stepdaughter Kimberly Leslie of Windsor, CT; his sister Margaret Matroni; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Tuesday at 10:00am followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veteran' s Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
