William J. Velez

1986 – 2022

West Springfield - William Joel Velez was born in Boston and lived in Brooklyn, NY until his twenties.  He decided to relocate to West Springfield in the pursuit of an adventurous lifestyle while confronting the challenging realities associated with blue-collar independence.  William enjoyed countless hours of spirited philosophical debates with family and friends, including a fondness for professional sports.  William passed away in bed quietly at the age of thirty-five.  He is survived by his parents Alfredo and Nelly, two younger brothers Isaiah and David, a younger sister Keily, and his feline companion named Snow.  William will be sorely missed but he will not be forgotten.  Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Saturday, May 28 ^th beginning at 1:00pm and concluding with a funeral home service at 3:00pm.
