WEST BROOKFIELD-Wilma J. (Tower) Trauschke, 77, died Thursday at home after a long illness, surrounded by her family. She was born in Springfield, raised in West Springfield and graduated from West Springfield High School Class of 1955. Wilma worked as a secretary at John H. Breck, Inc. She traveled extensively with her husband throughout his naval career. Upon retiring, they moved to a farm in New Braintree, MA and recently to West Brookfield, MA. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, plants, flowers and reading. She leaves her husband Richard Trauschke, a son Richard Edward Trauschke of Ware, a daughter Maureen Peterson of Rindge, NH, six grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Tasia, Monica, Richard "Max" and Grace, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Dorothy L. Rider, Harold C. Tower, Ellenor R. Andre and Richard H. Tower. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 am at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by committal services at the Mass Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
