Winifred A. (Sharpe) Clayton, 103, formerly of West Springfield, passed peacefully on April 15th. She was the daughter of the late Franklin and Marian (Rich) Sharpe. She was predeceased by her husband James H. Clayton and her brothers Robert and George Sharpe.
She was a graduate of Commerce High School in Springfield. She was employed as an insurance secretary retiring from Conn. General.
A devoted member of the First Congregational Church West Springfield she served as a deaconess and was a member of the Women's Guild.
Winifred is survived by her daughters Evelyn Morse of New Hampshire, Susan and her husband Louis Marseilles of Maryland, Janet Martin of Kansas (formerly 0f Chicopee), grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to First Congregational Church 108 Park St. West Spfld MA 01089.
