Yvette L. (Remillard) Thibault, 92, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 15, 2023 at home. Born in St. Raphael, Province of Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Hermanigilde and Alvenia (Gaumond) Remillard, she grew up in St. Raphael. She met the love of her life in 1950 and got married in 1952 and she and her husband went to a lumber camp where she became a cook. Later they moved to Montreal, where her son Gilles was born. She moved to Springfield in 1955 and to West Springfield in 1963, where she started doing upholstery in her home. Yvette's life was her family, where she entertained cousins and friends every weekend at her home, playing cards, canadian music, laughing. She had special joy spending time with her grandchildren and especially her great-grandchildren, Olivia and Sophia. She was always smiling, laughing. She was everyone's "Ma". Heaven now has a new angel. She was predeceased by her husband, George Gilles Thibault in 1996, and her brothers, Leo, Fernand, Raymond, Laurent and Aime Remillard. She leaves her children, Gilles Thibault, Suzanne Thibault, Ivan "Joe" Thibault all of West Springfield, a sister, Louisette Remillard Voisine of St. Michael, Quebec, sisters-in-law, Barbara Remillard of West Springfield, Gabrielle Remillard of Florida, Anita (Thibault) Vazquez and her husband, Carlos of Mississauga, Ontario, her grandchildren, Christopher Thibault of Attleboro, MA and his partner, Katy Tansey, Jacqueline Thibault of Springfield and her partner, Anibal Cartagena, great-granddaughters, Sophia and Olivia, many nieces and nephews in Massachusetts and Canada and her grand dog, Bella.
