WEST SPRINGFIELD – Yvonne A. (Jalbert) Pomeroy, 65, of Carriage Lane died Thursday at home surrounded by her loving family. Yvonne was born in Springfield, was a 1966 graduate of Commerce High School and has lived in West Springfield since 1994. She graduated from Springfield Technical Institute (STCC) in 1967 and worked at Belchertown Public Schools and UMASS where she retired in 2003. Mostly Yvonne was a stay-at-home mom, who loved her family, going out to dinner, shopping and travel, especially her trips to Disney World. She leaves her husband Robert Pomeroy; three children Robert Pomeroy Jr. and his wife Minna of Northbrook, IL., Kimberly Lima and her husband Richard of Ludlow and Brian Pomerly and his wife Jessica of West Springfield. She also leaves two brothers Jake Jalbert of West Springfield and Gary Jalbert of Westfield; a sister Deanna Vermette of Hamden and seven grandchildren, who were the love of her life, Emily, Adam, Aidan, Liam, Drew, Lyla and Evan. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Wednesday at 11:30am followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
