Charles F. Balin Jr.

1952 – 2020

West Springfield – Charles F. Balin Jr., 68, died peacefully Saturday at home.  Chip was born in Springfield and has lived in West Springfield all his life.  He was a graduate of West Springfield High School ('70) and received his Bachelor of Music from Hartt College ('75) in West Hartford, CT.  Chip retired as a machinist from the Columbia Manufacturing Company in Westfield and was a member of the Eagles Club.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles F. and Eileen F. Balin and his sister Leslie J. Slate. Chip is survived by his brother James E. Balin and sister Cheryl L. Koski.  Chip was a loving uncle to Kristie J., Kerri L., Kristopher C., and Katie J. Koski and great uncle to Kamdyn L. Crumpton and Nikolas K.
